Helping brands make better packaging decisions.
40+ years in packaging. No buzzwords.
No greenwashing. Just straight answers for senior leadership and procurement, supply chain and brand teams.
Led by business process improvement consultant, packaging consultant and entrepreneur Joe Foster, True Pack brings decades of hands-on industry experience, a global network and an independent perspective to flexible packaging, packaging process improvement and sustainable packaging.
Good packaging isn't about chasing the latest trend. It's about understanding what you're buying, where it comes from, whether it performs, and whether the claims made about it actually stack up.
From improving packaging processes and supplier relationships to navigating materials and sustainability claims, we help businesses make better-informed packaging decisions.
That's packaging without the spin.
THE PROBLEM
Packaging is complicated. We make it clearer.
Materials. Manufacturing. Sustainability claims. Supply chains. Cost pressures. Changing expectations.
Plenty of people will sell you packaging. Joe's approach is different.
True Pack helps businesses understand the decisions behind their packaging — what they're specifying, where it's sourced, how it performs, and what it's really costing them. Through packaging consulting and business process improvement, we look beyond the product itself to identify where better decisions, processes and supplier relationships can create real value.
Whether you’re reviewing an existing packaging portfolio, questioning the advice you’re getting, or looking for packaging process improvement, you’ll get an experienced, independent perspective. No predetermined solution. No race to the bottom. No spin.
As an experienced business improvement consultant with more than four decades in the packaging industry, Joe Foster brings practical advice grounded in what works in the real world.
Better packaging decisions. Better processes. Better outcomes.
After more than 40 years in the industry, Joe Foster'’s ambition is to make people excited about the possibilities of packaging again.
Because packaging isn’t just a container. Done well, it protects products, extends shelf life, creates convenience, builds brands and opens up new possibilities for how products are made, moved, sold and experienced.
Making packaging exciting again!

2019 Packaging Professional of the Year.
Joe was named 2019 Industry Packaging Professional of the Year at the Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design Awards (PIDAs), recognising his contribution to the industry through leadership, innovation and a willingness to challenge conventional thinking.
By then, Joe had spent decades working across flexible packaging, from engineering and production to technical development, sales and building packaging businesses internationally.
But the recognition was about more than longevity. The award citation highlighted Joe’s passion for looking beyond what flexible packaging is to what it can be, and his desire to improve how businesses and consumers understand its role and value.
That philosophy remains central to Joe today: keep questioning, keep innovating and help people understand that packaging is far more than just a container.
The award citation recognised Joe’s ambition to change perceptions of flexible packaging through education, innovation and a better understanding of the role flexible packaging plays in society.
